PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Mental Health Chaplain Certificate Program is a free one-month training designed to prepare pastors, ministers, church workers, counselors, teachers, healthcare volunteers, students, and anyone with a passion for helping people facing emotional, psychological, and spiritual challenges.
Mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, stress, addiction, family conflicts, loneliness, and suicidal thoughts affect millions of people worldwide. Many individuals seek help first from their pastors, chaplains, church leaders, or trusted community members.
This course equips participants with biblical understanding, practical counseling skills, ethical guidelines, and compassionate approaches to provide emotional and spiritual support while recognizing situations that require referral to professional mental health practitioners.
The course combines Christian faith with practical mental health awareness, helping participants become effective caregivers in churches, schools, hospitals, prisons, workplaces, and communities.

A Note About the Scope of the Training
This certificate program provides introductory education in mental health awareness and Christian chaplaincy. It is intended to help participants offer compassionate support and recognize when someone should be referred to licensed mental health professionals. Completion of this course does not qualify participants to diagnose mental illnesses or practice as licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, or clinical counselors, unless they already hold the relevant professional credentials.
